Privacy notice: hernook waitlist

This notice explains how hernook, based in Hong Kong, handles the details you give us when you join the waitlist at hernook.app. It covers the waitlist only. The hernook app itself has no account, keeps what you write on your phone, and never shows anything to an employer.
What we collect
- Your first name and email address (required to join).
- Your role or industry, if you choose to share it.
- Which boxes you ticked (contact about the pilot; occasional updates) and the date you signed up.
Giving your details is voluntary. If you don't give a name and email, we can't add you to the waitlist.
Why we use it
- To manage the waitlist and count how many people have joined.
- To email you about joining the free pilot, because you asked us to.
- To send occasional updates about hernook, only if you ticked that box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who can see it
Only the hernook team. We won't sell your details or share them with employers. They are stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this website and its sign-up form, which processes them on our behalf. Netlify's servers may be outside Hong Kong, and its spam filter may check submissions automatically.
How long we keep it
We'll delete your details when pilot recruitment ends (or, if you asked for updates, when you unsubscribe), or sooner if you ask.
Your rights
Under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you can ask to see or correct the data we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or ask us to stop sending updates, at any time and free of charge, by emailing privacy@hernook.app.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website host, Netlify keeps basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the site.
